Anyone can have a stroke, and that’s why it’s important to have experts on your side to ensure swift and appropriate treatment. At the Stroke Center at NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk, our goal is to ensure the best outcomes for each patient.

Our stroke response alert system coordinates care across the continuum, from the emergency medical service (EMS) response to the Emergency Department at NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk, which implements a rapid response protocol for people exhibiting signs of stroke, and in our Stroke Center, where patients receive continuous monitoring and specialized care.

Whether you receive care in the emergency department, intensive care unit (ICU), stroke center, or in a medical unit, we deliver the highest quality of care while continuously working to improve safety. Our neurologists are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to provide expert consultation for patients experiencing stroke symptoms.

Our expert team, including doctors, nurses, physical therapists, and speech therapists, is committed to helping patients recover and regain function. Nurses in our emergency department, ICU, and stroke center are trained and certified in the care of stroke patients.
