We have served the community of eastern Long Island since 1956.

Every year, the Emergency Department at NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk provides immediate medical treatment for over 70,000 people who have serious injuries and conditions, including traumatic injury, stroke, and cardiac events, such as heart attack.

For Emergencies

If you or a loved one is experiencing a medical emergency, call 911.

All doctors are supported by experienced physician assistants and nurse practitioners.

Imaging services, including MRI, ultrasound, and CT scan, are available on-site and around the clock. We also provide emergency care for behavioral health concerns.

Additional inpatient care or surgery after critical care is provided at NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk.

Provisional Level 2 Trauma Center

We are proud that the Trauma Center at NYU Langone—Suffolk has been designated as a Provisional Level 2 Trauma Center by New York State—one of only four community hospitals on Long Island to earn this designation. As an integral part of the region’s emergency medical services, we treat all trauma cases from the middle of Suffolk County to as far east as Montauk. The center provides care for fractures, falls, motor vehicle accidents, and other incidents that can cause moderate to life-threatening injuries.
