As a pediatric orthopedic surgeon at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to my young patients. My approach emphasizes understanding each child's unique needs and working closely with families to ensure the best possible outcomes.
I specialize in general orthopedics, with a particular focus on hip conditions, traumatic injuries, limb deformities, and foot and ankle conditions. My expertise spans from treating children to young adults, and I am proficient in open joint preservation and limb reconstruction procedures. This broad range of skills allows me to address a variety of complex orthopedic issues effectively.
Throughout my career, I have been committed to advancing the field of pediatric orthopedics through research and education. My research interests include improving outcomes in traumatic injuries, managing developmental conditions of the hip and lower extremities, and reducing health disparities. I have co-authored multiple research publications and presented my findings at national conferences, contributing to the ongoing development of best practices in my field.
My journey into medicine began at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine, where I earned my medical degree. I completed my residency in orthopedic surgery at the Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, followed by additional training in limb reconstruction with the Atrium Health International Medical Outreach in Honduras. I further honed my skills during a pediatric orthopedic surgery fellowship at Children's Hospital Colorado.
Throughout my training, I was honored with several awards, including the Residency Teaching Award, the Silberstein Pediatric Orthopaedics Research Fellowship, and the New York University Malcolm X/Martin Luther King Jr. Leadership Award.
My motivation to pursue pediatric orthopedics stems from a deep desire to make a positive impact on children's lives. Witnessing the resilience and strength of my young patients inspires me every day. I am committed to providing the highest level of care and support to help them achieve their fullest potential.
