As clinical director for the NYU Child Study Center, which is part of Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone, I specialize in treating a wide range of mental health conditions in children and adolescents, including anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders. With over 15 years of experience, I have developed a deep understanding of the unique needs of young patients. It’s immensely satisfying to help children and adolescents navigate their mental health challenges.

My credentials include a medical degree from NYU Grossman School of Medicine, residency in psychiatry at the New York State Psychiatric Institute, and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. These qualifications, combined with my extensive experience, enable me to offer expert care tailored to each patient's needs.

As a clinical associate professor of child and adolescent psychiatry at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, I am deeply committed to improving mental healthcare for underserved populations. My role as vice chair for diversity, equity, and inclusion and vice chair for clinical affairs in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry allows me to focus on creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all patients.

Throughout my career, I have held various leadership roles that have allowed me to enhance the quality of mental health services for underrepresented youth. In Brooklyn, I have supervised the child psychiatry team at the Sunset Terrace Family Health Center at NYU Langone, managed school-based behavioral health clinics, and expanded telepsychiatry services. My efforts have been instrumental in maintaining high standards of care during the COVID-19 pandemic and ensuring continuous support for our patients.

My journey into medicine began with a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Chicago, followed by my medical education at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, where I pursued a career in child and adolescent psychiatry inspired by a desire to address health disparities and improve access to mental healthcare. My dedication to education and mentorship is reflected in my role as training director of the NYU Grossman School of Medicine’s Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship, where I focus on overseeing the teaching, training, accreditation, and wellbeing of our doctors specializing in child and adolescent psychiatry.
