As a dual-trained emergency and sports medicine physician at NYU Langone, I provide comprehensive care across a wide range of medical needs. My unique skillset allows me to manage both critical and acute cases in the emergency department and specialized sports-related injuries in my clinic. I am one of only roughly 300 physicians in the U.S. certified in both fields, which enables me to deliver highly specialized care tailored to patients with a diverse range of medical needs.

In the emergency department, I thrive on the challenge of rapidly assessing and treating patients facing acute medical conditions. I enjoy working with a dedicated team of emergency staff and collaborating closely with consultants to ensure that patients receive timely, comprehensive care during their time of greatest need. My experience in emergency medicine has honed my ability to make quick, informed decisions that can significantly impact patient outcomes.

In my sports medicine clinic, I provide nonsurgical treatment for patients with a broad range of orthopedic conditions, including muscle, joint, and tendon injuries. I offer alternative care options for patients who wish to avoid surgery or who are not ideal candidates for surgical intervention. I specialize in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal conditions, often using ultrasound to deliver precise, effective care. My goal is to help patients return to their competitive sports or daily activities through a variety of nonsurgical methods, including physical therapy, sports concussion management, ultrasound-guided interventions, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections, and shockwave therapy. My background in athletics and my understanding of the importance of maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle drive my commitment to helping patients achieve their health and fitness goals.

My journey into medicine began with a passion for athletics and a desire to help others maintain their health and wellbeing. After completing my emergency medicine residency at Miami Mount Sinai Medical Center in Florida, I pursued a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Florida. My fellowship experience included sideline sports coverage, endurance medicine training, and sports performance testing. There, I provided medical coverage for professional sports, D1 athletic programs, including the Florida Gators football team, as well as junior college and high school sports.

My work in both emergency and sports medicine has provided me with a broad perspective and the ability to deliver coordinated care as part of the NYU Langone healthcare system. Throughout my career, I have focused on fostering strong, collaborative relationships with my patients by setting specific goals together and mapping out a personalized path to achieve them.
