What a year has 2010 been… sex, drugs and Electro baby!!!
It’s so true when they say that things happen for a reason. After starting the year not so well with personal problems (yep, girl headache), I turned all my energy to ‘my music’. And that’s probably the one thing I would highlight from 2010, the fact that after many years playing all sorts of music genres for many varied commercial music scenes… I started working on developing a distinctive sound that reflected all that musical diversity, I call it ELECTRO DEMBOW – a unique blend of House ranging from Electro, Dutch, Deep & Progressive mixed with Latin, Brazilian, Caribbean & African influenced bass, and other Urban genres such as Hip Hop, Baltimore Club, UK Funky & Dubstep. But don’t be surprise if you ever hear a bit of Reggae or Disco in the mix too!
You can check all my mixes & demos from 2010 on my Soundcloud account.
Within a couple of months, this change of direction had a massive impact on my career, allowing me to quit my fake part time job (aaargh, ‘cos it really was fake) and letting me concentrate once again on Djing full time. But to be honest, almost 10 years living in London, I kinda felt I had enough of the city and that I needed to move to keep gaining experiences that will eventually reflect on my sets. I’m thinking South America, Brazil in particular… niiiice eh???
So I left London a on the 5th on January to move back home in Spain and start the year from fresh. And you know what, I can already tell ya that 2011 is MY YEAR!! I can feel it.
Check out these few pics from my 2 Farewell parties and from when I left London too.

Since arriving to Spain, and after a couple of weeks catching up with friends & family, and putting on a couple of kilos with mi mama’s food… I have been concentrating on my music and researching & organizing my South American tour without any distractions. I still have parties popping in London (just came back from one this weekend!) and I have already lined up a few other events in Spain & Gibraltar, although I’d like to concentrate looking for more events around the Tarifa, Malaga & Costa del Sol areas.
Now I just can’t wait to start my tour!! Meet different people from other cultures, lean from them and exchange influences. I’m thinking of going to the city of Salvador. Salvador it’s Brazil’s first colonial capital and the city has been described as friendlier & safer compared to Sao Paulo & Rio de Janeiro. It is also a hub for African & Brazilian culture, which is just awesome since my sets are heavily influenced by both cultures.

And that’s it, then the plan is to get married to a mamasita and live la vida loca, if ya know what I mean?? Should I have to make use of my return ticket (a requirement to obtain the Tourist Visa in Brazil), the plan B is to come back home to Dj in Spain and the UK during the last months of Summer and then head off to Berlin where I understand there is a massive club scene, as well as a nice standard of living.
So there you go, an exciting year I’m telling ya! Holla at yo boi if you have any anything, travel tips, places to visit and stuff like that…
Boom!

Sao Paulo y Rio es mas seguro que Salvador, pero lo Baile Funk es no Rio, Salvador tiene mas cultura musical Axé
